What all the shipment statuses mean?

Shipment Status is all about keeping you in the know about your package's journey.

After you purchase a label on our platform, it's "Ready" to be dropped off and scanned at a ShipShop location.

If you're using a third-party label or an untracked shipment, it'll be in a "Pending" status until you add it to a batch and close it.

Once it's been scanned at our facility or a drop and go location, it's "Received" and should be shipped within 1 business day.

When it's in transit towards the carrier or already with them, it's "In Transit."

When it's been delivered, it's "Complete."

If something unusual happens to your shipment, like a delay or an undeliverable due to an incorrect address, it'll be an "Exception."

If you requested to cancel a label, it'll be "Void Requested" or "Voided" if it's been cancelled and a refund has been issued.

An "Unused/unscanned label" that expired after 21 days is "Postage Expired" and an "Unpaid label" with incomplete or incorrect details is "Incomplete."

If there's missing or incomplete information causing an error, it'll be an "Error."

Finally, when it's been tendered to the carrier, it'll be "Tendered to Carrier," which basically means the hand-off date to the carrier. Carriers will usually scan it the same day, but if the hand-off was on a weekend, it may take until the next business day.
